Animation of “The Waste Land” comic by Jim Avis

Vidietteer Jim Avis is back with a animated adaptation of my own recently-completed comics adaptation of “The Burial of the Dead,” the first section of T. S. Eliot’s immortal classic, “The Waste Land.” The imagery is paired with a recital of the poetry by Eileen Atkins and everyone’s favourite aristocratic British sex symbol, Jeremy Irons.

TonyA, glad you enjoyed it. It’s great to be appreciated. Julian is a real master of his art and I am constantly amazed at his interpretations and how he seems to draw from a bottomless well of design ideas to make us see. I can’t help looking. – JA

Thanks Dave. Working with Julian’s brilliant graphics is always a labor of love. Hope he will try to do the remaining sections of the poem, a huge undertaking. – JA

  3. I enjoyed this… dramatic visuals to go with the superb narration. For me, especially effective and dramatic were the scenes in the cave and with the tarot card reader. Well done!
