Nelligan definitely deserves to be more well-known outside of Canada.
I’m sure your inspired drawings will contribute to revitalizing him beyond your borders.

If I were looking to publish a comics biography of Nelligan, I’d choose you as the artist. I can already see a graphic novel, retelling his life, interrupted by comics form of his poems (or having the poems comics come in at times to enhance a certain passages) and ending with the last 2 drawings posted up there.
Thanks again. If I were more confident writing a script in French I might attempt that. One of the problems though is that we really don’t know all that much about Nelligan’s life, at least not much that would make a really meaty story. I guess one would have to use a lot of creative license, and the danger of course would be to fall into ‘mad artist’ cliches.
J’ai regardé à ce qui a trait à Nelligan. J’aime beaucoup le dessin des chevaux piaffants dans le poème Déraison et celui et il n’a plus rien écrit. Continue Julian tu es dans ton élément. La prochaine fois je verrai Keats , le poète dont tu m’as parlé à Rome
